LED Accessory lighting

This little gem came in the mail today. It's compact, well built and has 6x3watt emitters. I figure I'll make my own fork clamp to position it as such. Now when turning deep into corners on unlit roads things should look much better. I've not seen the beam pattern yet but at $20 it's a win in my book. If even if it just makes me more conspicuous to drivers.

I use something similar because I feel I need as much help being seen as I can get - as long as it's legal.

I have two of these strobe light bars, one for my scooter and one for my motorcycle. I did modify the light bar bases to better suit my specific needs.

From my experience(s), they are indeed very attention-getting.

I'd like to see how you attatch your light bar. I'm planning on using the forks as my attach point, and I'll leave room for a set of 10watt single emitter floods of I think I need it.

Generally speaking, I try to never make installation of such accessories that require me to drill holes, etc. anywhere on the bike just in case future removal is desired. I've had very good luck using the industrial strength velcro that was purchased at Home Depot for many applications; I've never had it come loose or fail me in any way. If you look closely at the front rack of my Vespa scooter right below the blue Piaggio badge, you will see a black strip of velcro that I use to mount the light bar when I want to use it.

I used the same basic velcro process for mounting a light bar on my BMW motorcycle beneath the headlight.

I will try to post better pics soon.
