Miles after fuel light?

When the bike was new I noted fuel bike on center stand. Two times I fueled on the side stand rocked the bike to get air out then on center stand, attempt to add fuel could not add any. Now I only fuel on the side stand. Fuel temperature has something to do with the amount you get into the tank and how many miles you can go. Fuel with engine hot you will get less fuel in the tank than if you fuel with the tank cold. Keep in mind we are talking a quart or less and how far can you go on a quart before you are pushing the bike on the shoulder of the road.

You could probably go about 10 to12 miles and the tank would be dry on 1 quart of fuel I wouldn't like to try that you would be sucking up any crap in the bottom of the tank.

I have gone 38 miles once the fuel light came on and put about 3.9 gallons in, indicating I had 0.3 gallons remaining. I routinely go 20-30 miles with no issues.
