Hi
I just bought me a 2012 650 GT, with just 3500 km on it. I bought it at a dealer. It replaces an RT from 2005 with 100k km on it, which had on going trouble with the brakes.
I use the bike to commute, 67 km one way. So I ride 25.000 every year.
My other bike is a 2015 K1600 GT, bought this january. So far it has 23k km on it. The wife rides an R1200R.
I do not own a car, but we do have a camper which we use if we need 4 wheels, like for diving.
Been using the scooter for a week now. While it is powerful and fun to ride, I do have some remarks. The tank is a bit small, making me stop for gas three times a week and the saddle is a bit small.
Also the rear tire throws up a lot of mud even to the handle of the top case. Except for an overpriced carbon hugger, I did not find a suitable solution for this.
