Passed the 5K milestone!

I had a terrific ride today up to Cedarville. The Surprise Valley Hot Springs are highly recommended!
Popular spot, so make reservations! I passed the 5K milestone too! I also bested my own personal land speed record on my C650GT by going plaid and getting the bike up to 115mph! Still a very stabile, smooth ride!

That's a nice look. Black is by far the fastest color. Your bike is also clean. Can't say the same for mine.

Yikes, 115, I can't even imagine going that fast. Went 90 a couple of times and that was plenty fast. Did the speedometer show 115 or was it GPS. Book shows max. speed at 109.

Rifleman3006, it was the speedometer reading. There are lots of open two lane blacktops out here in this Northeastern corner without too many CHP! Sometimes it's just too tempting! Doesn't do too much for gas mileage though
I have to say though, that the bike is just so solid and stabile, cruising at 75 or 80. I am just trying get in rides while the weather still permits.

I did get a GPS reading on my GT year before last of 113 or 114mph, it was switching back and forth so prabably 113.5mph. The speedo was up around 120 but I didn't look too closely at that. The large numbers on my GPS were easier to read under the circumstances. To be honest the GT felt about as smooth and stable as my GL1800 at such speed. Lots of wind noise but little or no vibration. I've always had to see what the top speed was on all the bikes I've owned.
