Protect tail light

Hi all, as BMW CE04 owners, you might love your scooter but you might find like me the tail lights are super fragile (and very pricey to change!).

I have seen some protection from Wunderlich (link here, this is not an ad as I have not bought it). They do not have in their list the CE04 but other BMW bikes. Anyone has good recommandations here? I have seen some CE04 having this and I think it will prove super useful.

Thanks for your input!

That has been discussed in several threads here. Have a look at this one, for example:

Thanks for redirecting, do you have higher quality fix advice? I have seem some grid protection here but I do not know if that fits the CE04

Me, I don't even own a CE-04. I have a C 400 GT, but I read most posts on this forum.

Here's another one for you, with a picture of the zip tie around the taillight, a few posts down:

Hi all, The protectors shown in my Attachment below are not for a ce04. I emailed Wunderlich in Germany regarding the ce04 rear indicator protectors and they replied that they are NOT available at the moment for the ce04. Don't make the mistake of ordering the ones from "AliExpress & Such like Retailers in China" because the one's they send do NOT fit the 2023 ce04 and they are totally the wrong shape and design trying to get a refund is almost impossible. I had to get PayPal involved for a refund even though I had returned them to the seller. 6 weeks on I'm still waiting. Then only to find Paypal rejected my refund although I showed proof of return and was delivered and signed for, Go figure?

I just ordered the bmw protectors but apparently they don’t offer enough protection either, I’m still gonna install them and zip tie over them to help when pulled away from the scooter but the part where the leds are is still vulnerable to breaking

I recently saw these at a european FB page that appear to go all the way towards the end of the lights on the back side but you’d still need to zip tie those and idk how the zip ties going across the led part would look or affect their visibility to onlookers

Edit: I’ve been informed by a fellow member in another thread that these are 3D printed and thus flimsy so not an ideal solution either

Just to reiterate.. As stated in my previous post, Wunderlich do not supply indicator protectors for the CE04 at present, as per their reply to my email. The ones shown in their site I believe are attached to a GS with short LED indicators NOT CE04 Multifunctional LED indicators.
