RDC Sensor

Hay, the other day my RDC Sensor started to blink yellow for the front tire @27 psi and the arrow was pointing up... it was a hot day (90°]. Can anyone explain this? Last night on the way home it was 28 and ok.

When the pressure is to low the warning light comes on, put air in tire you should be fine, unless you have a flat, you should be at 34lb

I'd keep an eye on that tire. Usually in warmer weather the tire pressure goes up. A general rule or thumb is 1psi of pressure change for every 10 degrees of temperature change, up when warmer and down when colder. You typically don't see a tire pressure drop when weather gets warmer. Of course there are several variables that can cause temperature change in a tire besides just outside air temperature such as road friction, braking, etc. Although I've found mine to be pretty accurate when compared to a known good pressure gauge, many have stated that the TPMS sensors are not accurate. Although a good safety feature and can alert you to a sudden loss of pressure, you should still check tire pressures on some regular basis to confirm true pressure and accurate TPMS (RDC Sensor) operation.
