A bit off topic though will toss a comment out here. I probably should have gotten a givi rack as I have a few of their trunks. I got the bmw one that expands higher when wanted And am liking it.
Bad habit, get a new bike and start buying stock bmw accessories for it from bmw. Oddly, I have found I can slide back on the seat and actually rest my back against the stock trunk...even without the trunk pads having been installed yet...and sort of like doing it at times. Granted I have a riding jacket on and an airbag vest which adds some bluk area on my back allowing me to touch the front of the trunk.
Now would like to add just a drop of side rails on back area of seat to place things there if needed on short trips...say a gallonn of milk etc so it won't fall off bike. Just does not seem cool to use a milk crate on a bmw lol though will see how one fits just the same.
