Removing front wheel.

I'm preparing to remove the front wheel of my GT to take it to the dealer to mount a new tire for me. I was a bit stymied for a few minutes when I discovered the interior hex on the right side of the axle. It turned out easy to rig up a tool for it.
A short 19mm or 3/4" bolt will fit nicely into the axle end. I used a short bolt with two nuts on one end. Just run the nuts together, tight against the top of the thread on the bolt. I used some Loctite red locking compound to lock the nuts to the bolt. I would have brazed them but my torch is out of Oxygen right now. Anyway it works just fine, stick the double nutted end into the axle, which makes a more stable situation than using the bolt head and turn the axle with a 3/4" or 19MM wrench.

When putting the axel back in it will need 30nm and the 2 bolts holding it will need 8nm. If you removed the fender it will need 5nm and the calipers is 28nm (I just did it this morning)

The owner's manual on this scooter is pretty good in that it gives a lot of the torque specifications.
