Request: Video of your C600

I've owned tons of scoots but my recent purchase of my 2013 C600 is the largest I've owned. I'm used to scooters being very quiet and smooth. I also have a 2014 Honda Forza (300cc) and it is so quiet and smooth it just purrs.

So far I am finding the C600 super loud and sounds almost like it is loose and rattly. Feels like it is running rough but I can't tell if it is or if it is just like that because it's a single cylinder 600cc. At 30MPH (50KMS) and up it is pretty smooth but at idle and low speeds it feels like a rattly bucket of bolts.

I would love to be able to compare mine with yours. I left my phone at work today so can't post my own vid till tomorrow. If a few people would be willing to put theirs up on the center stand and video it running and then while giving it some gas I would really appreciate it.

Take that Sport back to the dealer and tell them you want the other cylinder you should have gotten. Everyone else got two and you want yours!!!!!!

Someone wrote, when the C's came out, that they sounded like a lawn tractor. I have to agree, and yes they are loud. If I could make mine quieter, I would.

Did they do the chain tensioner recall, if not, that could add to the noise.

Ha, perfect.

And, yeah, the BMW C bikes' are loud. Not Harley loud, but rackety clack loud. It is what it is.

Haha, shoot, thought it was a single. Great to know it is just a loud scoot. Mine does sound like a lawn tractor and I didn't know if it should or not. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

That's why the bikes were redesigned for 2016...much improved across the board, particularly in the exhaust/sound department...

I found when as mine got the Akrapovic exhaust the sound is sweet to listen to, I also removed the DB killer an it's even better sound and with more power.

Is this 'more power' a personal opinion, or did you dyno it? I mean, is there some specific test you did to determine that you had more power?

I'm curious as I personally think an increase in 1-2 horses (when removing the dB killer) may not be that evident to a rider on his daily commute. Though I'm pretty sure the sound is awesome.

I'm sensitive to a 2 HP change in a bike as for bikes is way more of a % increase than what you'll notice in a car. I'm not the most gentle rider, I open that c600 alot and I'm a bit fussed about performance hence why I'm using a Dr. Pully Variator and will be getting their clutch, Power Command and putting it on a dyno soon. However even if it's just for the sound the Akrapovic is so worth it for it's such a deep sound.
Just look at this video for now however you can find a few on YouTube: https://youtu.be/IG4fKhuvtzU
