Yep, we get a little just about every year. Usually it snows enough to cover the ground and is totally melted away within a day or two. Every 5-6 years we'll get a snow that shuts everything down for the better part of a week. When I got off work, I came out and dusted off the seat and was about to put on my helmet when a guy walked over and said "Man, I've been caught out in the weather before too. You want me to give you a ride home?" I chuckled and told him I was OK. He insisted it was no problem and he worried about me wiping out on the slick roads. I told him I knew snow was in the forecast and I deliberately rode in hopes it would. I didn't bother to tell him I ride every day (since '89). I shared my favorite quote, "If you never ride in bad weather, you never get better at riding in bad weather." His eyes got glassy, shook his head and walked away slowly, zipping up his leather Harley jacket.
Most of the time snow is predicted, we end up with freezing rain and sleet.
