I have a 2014 G650GT. Can anyone tell me how to turn off the Service reminder/reminder triangle yellow light?

FYI... I went to BMW Motorrad Service for my last 24k service, and asked them if they could shut off the LAMP WARNING (due to LEDs headlights) and they shared, it can only be shut off on the RR models...

Is that true...?

I have the wireless GS911. Very handy you can set those service reminders for just about any value you might want. The unit is also very handy to clear ECU faults and look at a lot of engine parameters in real time. It has an 'on the road emergency' feature too so that on can access some bike functions to trouble shoot or reset some values. Not cheap but pretty necessary if you want to do much of your own maintenance on your bike. One irksome thing to me is that you can see the engine temperature on the diagnostic tool but BMW didn't bother to put that on the instrument panel.

Which brings up a question. Does anyone with a GT ever hear their cooling fan go on? We have pretty hot summers here but I don't remember hearing the fan run. The engine has never gotten hot enough to spew out of the expansion tank but I'd expect to hear the fan in traffic on 100F+ days.

Yes I've heard it many times but never while the bike is running. The only time I notice it is just when I turn the bike off. There is that 1 second period after the bike is turned off; the motor noise stops and I hear the fan noise for a moment and then stop. At least I'm pretty sure it's not that fan noise inside my head. I have listened to a lot of loud music. :)

I have heard my fan also when the bike shuts down. I have also seen my expansion tank empty when the coolant was down the side of the scooter

Thanks!! Found it. I probably need to get that repair manual CD soon. The cap is tight. Any advise on how to remove the diagnostic pin cap other than prying it off and risk cracking the cap?

Turn it counter clockwise it will come off with a little snap. There is a little notch at the end of the thread. When you put the cap back on you will hear a click

The 2016 C650 sport uses an OBD connector. It is Can based not K-line so the GS911 is not compatable. I don't know about the new GT's
Hopefully Hex will come up with a way to interface with the OBD connector.
