Short Review After 3 years of usage

I heard you say that your warranty is 2 years unlimited miles/kilometers
In the USA the warranty is 3 years 36,000 miles
Ours up here in Canada it is 3 years unlimited

Years ago in the states when it was unlimited, some of the people I hung around with were long distance riders. I think BMW caught on to them and then put a limit. It was not uncommon to hear 30,000 miles or more in a year from riders in the south. But why is the warranty only 2 years in your country?

In Australia as well the warranty is 2 years unlimited miles/kilometres and has been for a long time for both their cars as well as bikes.

Thanks Affy for taking the time to do this, well done.

I would be interested as to the total miles/kilometres you've covered on the scoot, if I heard correctly it was about 100 Klms per day for the commute/460 Klms per week. That would add up to a
handsome tally.

I heard 100 miles a day or 160km a day

Firstly apologise for my bad English. Occasionally I commute 100 miles a day now. But starting January I'll be doing that daily due to change in work place. Mileage is not that high it's about 20k, I am due to do the belt, last checked it is still good but I don't dare to go high speed fearing belt snap, just cruising at 130+ km/hr that's all.

On the warranty period, I know we here get the bad end of the deal and paid almost 20k USD for it too.. :(

No need, I'm sure my aged ears are equally to blame.

Fortunately for you, the CVT work is much easier on the Sport than the GT with half as much to remove/replace. In preparation consider some Dr Pulley Sliders, it will feel like a mid life upgrade.

Yowser, but come to think of it, with where the AUD is at we'd pay about the same in USD.

By way of return, my 2014 GT has covered 14,000k's in 13 months, averages 4.5 L/100k this with sliders, faultless also.

Dr. Pulley slider great, had use it on my SYM scooter. I had ordered Pollini rollers to try on the coming belt change.

Last item to buy is a 33mm deep socket for the nut. Hope the size is correct.
