Thanks for that :)
It's only done 6200miles tho.
It should last longer than that shouldn't it?
I'll give it a longer run as only did 12miles on it last night, but it was certainly up to running temp by then - fan cutting in etc.
My commute's only 9miles/40mins. It will certainly get hot during that time!

Comparing the suzuki burgman to ours, there is no schedule to have the belt replaced that I have found on the Web. I would think that the burgman has a very similar setup as our scooter.

The Burgman has a unique belt set-up. It's SUPPOSED to be a lifetime belt, but from tales I've read on the web, it isn't and it costs almost $3,000 to replace (including labor)...

Well, bizarrely enough, having put another few faster miles on the C600, after about 30 miles, the whining/moaning/barking virtually disappeared.
Each time I take it out now it seems to get better & better.
I've just spoken to the dealer who, after discussing it with the mechanic, seemed to think it must have been because it hasn't been used for a while. It was their demo and being up North, they don't get so many people understanding or asking for scooters! He was very co-operative and said to speak to him if I'm worried but the way it's going I have to listen very, very hard to detect the faintest of whining, and am pretty happy.

Meanwhile, I'm getting used to the other charms of the scooter and am being more and more impressed. The torque this thing has is addictive!

I'll let you know how the dreaded whining goes(or doesn't;)

Cheers, Hilton
