Test ride

Hi there!

I tested a C650 GT this past week end and I wanted to ask you guys a question from what I experience.

On deceleration I notice a slight pull to the left, is more noticeable around 30-50 miles. I ran the the bike to 50 or so miles then I will let go on the handle bars and the bike pull to the left every time.

Has anybody experience the same?

I want to pull the trigger but that stopped me from doing so.

Your comments will be appreciated.

Thank you

This has never happened to me. I have 700 miles on my C650 GT. It must be something with that one particular bike. I'd try a different one.

I have 1500 miles on my C6 and I have not noticed anything like that. Although it has been windy since I got my bike so Im using my hips to counter steer when I've taken both hands off the bike.

I have over 3000 miles on my bike, and never noticed anything but BMW performance, through and through.

OK, I've given it some thought and I will agree that I have subconsciously find myself cheating to the right to account for a tendency for the bike to pull left during deceleration. This, IMO, is on account of the CVT. The bike does go into some serious deceleration when the throttle is shut and the hands come off the bars. At this time there is a definite change in whats happening inside the motor and to the rear wheel. I chalk it up to "torque induced gyroscopic precession". I use a crampbuster on my throttle and I do not notice any left turning tendencies whilst lightly resting my palm on the paddle whilst at highway speeds with my left hand off. This is what I think you experienced on your test ride.
