As a new C650GT owner and a new forum member, I just want to say thank you all for all the wealth of information and sense of humor here. This is a great resource to have available. Until the time that I can afford a R12000RT, I am quite happy with the C650GT, and I look forward to more road trips in my neck of the woods. I may be venturing up into Oregon next, either Crater Lake or Bend. Happy riding!!!image.jpg

Very cool and congratulations. I'd definitely recommend Crater Lake. I did a 1,200 mile trip from NoCal to Crater Lake and back last September and it was awesome. Definitely need to plan for VERY changeable weather, however! :)

It took awhile for me to get used to the fact that I preferred the scooter. My K1100LT wasn't getting much use. Even for longer rides the GT was more comfortable and easier on my knees. I do miss the sound of the 1100 but after almost two years I sold the K bike and am now a scooterboy albeit an old one.

"Shifting is for chumps." I love it! May have to get that one on a sticker for my C650GT!
