As a new C650GT owner and a new forum member, I just want to say thank you all for all the wealth of information and sense of humor here. This is a great resource to have available. Until the time that I can afford a R12000RT, I am quite happy with the C650GT, and I look forward to more road trips in my neck of the woods. I may be venturing up into Oregon next, either Crater Lake or Bend. Happy riding!!!

Very cool and congratulations. I'd definitely recommend Crater Lake. I did a 1,200 mile trip from NoCal to Crater Lake and back last September and it was awesome. Definitely need to plan for VERY changeable weather, however!

It took awhile for me to get used to the fact that I preferred the scooter. My K1100LT wasn't getting much use. Even for longer rides the GT was more comfortable and easier on my knees. I do miss the sound of the 1100 but after almost two years I sold the K bike and am now a scooterboy albeit an old one.
