I bought used 2014 C600 sport about a month ago with 5,000 miles on it. Today I did my own oil and filter change for 6,000 miles maintenance. I talked to the dealer (I want to bring my scooter in for other things than 6,000 miles maintenance required) and he said that at 6,000 miles you need oil and filter change and full inspection. After I told him that I just did my oil change, he told me that the scooter need brake lines bleed every two year. Is that true or is it BS? Thank you, Charlie.

You could debate this for a long time. Most of the world does not do this, but, it isn't that hard. You can do it yourself easily.

And do yourself a favour and buy the bleed tube with the no return valve for an extra few bucks. Saves so much time and allows easy solo bleeding.

Brake fluid on motorcycles does need to be changed more often than on larger vehicles since there's a lot less in a scooter which makes it easier for water caused corrosion. How often is pretty much a matter of moisture, the climate you live in, garage or outside storeage, etc. I live in a pretty dry area and keep my scooter in the garage when not using it. I keep an eye on the color of the brake fluid as visible in the master cylinder window. When the stuff begins to darken much I replace it. Mine is about due on that basis, it's three years old.

Brake flush after first year then every two years,
Not complex or difficult, goes quicker with a second set of hands
On my RT they get bleed every tire change9-12 months
Wifes scooter is more of a time issue

With the front brake line recall, your front brakes got flushed
Our dealer charged me $40 to do rear brake and note in BMW computer showing flush was done
