Hardly put any miles on the ride. Hate hot weather in florida.
Storage…will see if I can mount both the bmw veri case (spelled wrong) trunk plus the side bag. Based on screws supplied by bmw that answer would be NO. Did though pickup some longer screws since the back bottom mounting plate for the trunk won’t work with the shorter stock screws (the side bag mount connects to the back bottom trunk plate thus the need for longer screws. Will see if it all mates up and works together.
Its a trunk that takes away back seat…the bmw idea for the trunk, I can only guess, was to place it forward enough to ensure less weight on back end of the bike/frame area maybe else it just seems like a dumb idea. Then again maybe behind the scenes bmw just does not want us to carry a passenger. Down the road might look into some quick discount pen bolts so top half mount could be removed thus leaving a seat area for passenger.
Up high…got the taller bmw screen, has a drop of a tint to it that I like. Then got the Puig clip-on windscreen visor from revzilla in clear…thought afterward I should have got tinted but now happy with clear. Will need to adjust it a bit higher, does not require drilling. Both are not perfect nor high enough in my book but will live with them for the short amount of riding I am doing (mostly in town).
To Charge we go…well walk that is from bank…7 minutes so the bike can charge 45 minutes. It was at 78% so will see what it is when I go back to pick it up. So what is up with the 6A vs 8A thing? I got message show in photo below yet when I went to the settings it offered a 8A. The bank is the standard level 2 charger btw.
Cool look…started the bike. Once on street put down side stand to ensure I did not scratch up the side due to bush by my one car garage. All seemed ok. Yet when I go to start then ride bike it kept saying…’apply brake’. I did you stupid ce04…maybe I am the one that is stupid though it just seemed the bike lost itself and did not now that I had my hand on the brake (thinking side stand up). At some point I did finally get it agree to go into ready mode though honestly uncertain how. Not a Cool look I have to say sitting on the bike for several minutes trying to sort out how to get it to go agains.
Guy at bank said he only ever saw one other person charging that so said ok to leave it there another 45 minutes at which time it should be all charged up again. Was at 93% when I walked back to look and pick up until he said I could leave it another 45 minutes.
Happy riding all
