Tie down points for transporting on trailer

I'm going to bring my new scoot back to San Diego with me on a trailer. I have four soft loops and four ratchet/straps. I was thinking the grips on the handlebars for the front, but I don't want to damage the grip or heating element.

For the rear I was going to use the grab bars the run along the sides of the rear seat.

I don't feel comfortable with the straps on the grips. Does anyone have any advice as to what/where on the bike I should use as a tie down point. I don't want to damage the body and trim panels.

These are out of the owners manual for tie down spots

Even with this I am not sure I would trust these points. I think I would still wrap a couple of rags around the hand grips (to protect them) and tie down from there at the front end
