Tool Kit

The scoot came with some tools. Really pathetic. Not even a T55 torx to remove the bolts on the rear tire.

What do you guys have in your tool kit?

I picked up some T-handled torx screwdrivers in the 2 most common sizes. the t portion also has the same torx in case and can shift toone other position for a lopsided T or out all togeather (storage) a 3/8" ratchet a 3" extension and a larger torx socket kit. as they don't fint in the bag well, they set in the bottom of the seat storage. they don't get in the way much. on long drive3s I add a can of stop leak/ tire inflator to get me to the nearest station if needed. and a one liter fuel cell for the pesky fuel level issue...

I got the instrument recall done but havent trusted it yet......

The tool kit was designed for a guy like me; little mechanical knowledge and even less ability. You can remove panels, change the battery, and add lights or whatnot I suppose, but that's probably about it. Frankly, I would not have wanted to pay for more.

What about tools to change a tire?

Why would you want to do that? For a roadside repair, all you need is the BMW Tire repair kit (which BMW USED to include for free... now you have to buy it separate). If you get a "slash" instead of a "puncture" you'll have to call Roadside assistance anyway (unless you've figured out how to tow a No-Mar Tire Repair jig behind your scooter on road trips).

And little overboard.
Just carry your cell phone and call roadside assistance.
