Traveling with Golf Clubs

Trying to figure out a way to safely carry my clubs on my next trip (I'm handicapped enough without having to use rentals). Across the back blocks too much of the mirrors. I might be able to rig up something so the heads rest on the rear steps dividing the clubs up to use both sides and are cushioned against rubbing, bending, etc.

Any other ideas?

I saw a club carrier for a Goldwing, don't know if would be adaptable.

Yeah, I've seen that one. I was hoping I would not have get that involved (I am not at all mechanically inclined) but may have to. Of course, using my own clubs rather than rentals eliminates one of my excuses.
