Trip Meter Resetting

I noticed my C600 Trip Meter "A" would automatically reset itself sometimes. Does anyone know why this happens? It doesn't reset while I'm riding but when I start up the scooter.

Two trip meters are user resetable. The other is meant to reset everyday or when it thinks you've begun a new trip.

One of the trip meters is meant to reset, read about it in your owners manual.

Thanks. I'm one of those guys that never bothered to take time to flip though the manual. Sorry for being the lazy one. Seriously, thanks... No sarcasm implied.

Having been in service industries most of my life, I am always amazed that people almost never read their owners manuals.

I usually read it if I know nothing about the product or have serious trouble... This time was a minor question that was in the back of my head. My question was posted during my downtime at work.

Yes, laziness on my part. Haha.

A wise man once said "If all else fails, read the instructions..."

I typically leave mine on the trip meter that resets if the bike isn't started for 24 hours as I like knowing how much I've ridden in a day.

When I was on the Silverwing forums, most of those guys didn't read their manuals either. Several of the members flooded their engines ( yes, FI can flood) and couldn't start their bikes, so had them towed to the dealer where the dealers changed the spark plugs and various other parts to get them going, at some expense to the owners as this wasn't covered by warranty. If these guys had read their owners manual, they would have known there is a starting sequence for a flooded engine, and saved themselves a lot of money.

When I was still a teenager I was amazed to see that people actually paid bicycle shops to install inner tubes! "Even *I* can do THAT!"

Now I know what was going on. Yes, I CAN change my own oil... but then I might get my hands dirty (or something). :p
