Valves

I have a 2018 C650GT.
30k miles on it. Runs good.
Dealer tells me I should adjust valves and change plugs at a cost of $1100..
Then added on I should replace chain and everything with that, guides, rollers... A list... At about $4000 more..
Is any of this for real?
I would love some insight on this.

I haven't looked up the maintenance intervals but unless you have, and have records for the things that were supposed to have been done on your bike, the dealer may be correct and sticking to the recommended service items as per BMW.
If the bike is indeed supposed to have this all done, or parts of it, then if you are reasonably handy you can do this all yourself and save maybe 2/3 of the quoted costs that way. You would need the service manual ($50 on dvd on Ebay). Plenty of info here on the forum also.
What you want to achieve is for the bike to stay running strong and not experience a catastrophic engine or drivetrain failure while out ...
