3D models or 2D dimensioned Drawings

Hey guys and gals! First post and very soon to be owner of a new C 650 GT. Does anyone have models or prints of any 650gt components? I would like a full 3D model assembly with every component, but I don't think I will be getting that. I am a machinist and I want to make a proper cell phone mount, but I want it in the middle and don't like the rod extending between the brake reservoir covers. I can simply make the model, but reverse engineering is tedious work. I would like to replace the plastic center piece with a solid aluminum piece that is fully 3D surfaced and includes a USB port for power and some universal mounts. Would anyone be interested in purchasing a beautiful handle bar center replacement if it cost about $250-400?

I would have considered a piece like this maybe in the $200-250 range. I purchased a spare plastic center piece, modified it and added a USB port and added the BMW Nav mount. Some plastic putty, sanding and some paint and cost about $230 to do. You would likely need to include some brace that utilizes the handlebar for added strength if you are going to mount anything of any weight. The plastic cover is only attached by a couple tabs and a fastener into another plastic part so it couldn't bear a large amount of weight without putting stress on adjoining plastic panels, at least that is my non-engineering opinion and probably why BMW did the same with the mount they sell.

I saw your mount, I read almost every thread for the last 12 months. My proposed mount would use the same basic support that the OEM mount provides, except it would also replace the cover, that way you don't need to buy an extra cover. It would mount similar to what is under the OEM and require no modification.
