Just got back from 1700 mile rountrip to John Say Oregon BMW Rally put on by Oregon BMW Riders. SF Bay Area to John Day, Oregon. Outstandign roads especially on US 395.
251 attendees. One C400 came from Phoenix but complained about the seat.
My 2017 C650 GT performed flawlessly and got about 51 mpg. Bike's sweet spot is at 75 mph, Mine is equipped with Aeroflow windshield, Barkbuster hand protection, Clearwater lights, Garmin GPS with XM satellite radio and best of all Russell Day Long Seat- very confortable .
I put the clothing, toiletries, and electronics (ipad, cables, and backup battery) in the underseat area- still a lot of space left. Camp cooking equipment went in the top case.. All other camping equipment went in the yellow dry bag mounted on passenger seat.
