Calliper service kit availability ?

Hi all,
just put my 2013 C650GT through its MOT (annual statutory inspection, for those outside UK), and was given an advisory on the front brakes. Just one of the front pads is worn - the others are OK. This suggests to me that there’s either a sticking piston or perhaps a sticking caliper slider bolt. I know I can replace the slider bolt, but what about a caliper repair. Is It possible to get a service kit with new seals, etc, and would this be a dealer only part?

Hi Mike,

I haven't seen any refurb kits for C-Series scooters -- for any sub-system of the bike. Dealers (both BMW and independent) tend to just order parts one-by-one I'm afraid.

So you'll have to page through the BMW parts fiche for the stuff you want (HERE is a dealer close to me that I tend to use for lookups), and either order them from a dealer near you, or go aftermarket.

Once you've got the list of what you'd like to replace, there's several 3rd-party sites to choose from (with lower prices than dealerships, and cheaper shipping than it costs me to freight stuff over to the States), given that you're closer to the European continent.
