Clarification on the Power of a Used BMW CE 04

I am considering purchasing a used BMW CE 04 electric motorcycle and understand that there are at least two available power versions:
• 31 kW (42 hp)
• 23 kW (31 hp)

I would like to know how I can confirm the specific power version of the motorcycle in question. I have the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and would appreciate it if you could assist me in obtaining this information.

I don't know the exact scientific way, but in my case, my reduced power CE04 has also a reduced range of approx 70km (depending on on battery temp etc). The full power bike will display the nominal range - approx 130 km. So, look at the screen, when the bike is fully charged and see what the projected range is.
As an aside, this is a huge flaw/problem with the bike. The reduced power version AFAIK, cannot be modified or switched back to nominal power. You have a forever reduced power, reduced range bike.

Hello with the VIN number you should be able to ask a BMW dealer he should be able to check witch is the type of power, again I know in Europe they are two type of permit the A1 or A2 I never remember witch one the one for full power.

In Ireland A1 for the lower power (more or less equivalent to, or up to 125 cc. The full power CE 04 falls into the A2 category.

We don’t get lower power version in Australia and guess it’s a licence, compliance thing in Europe. However I enjoy mine so much my R12 nineT doesn’t get ridden. Mind you if BMW suddenly create a 100kw version of ce04, I’m in!
