Corbin saddle for C650GT

Yeah, that was my thought. Of course, when I ordered this, I had no idea what was going to happen over Labor Day weekend. Oh well... Can't wait to get Snoopy back so I can install this thing and try it out.

I'm just curious, since you've had your saddle for quite some time... how well does it clear the fuel-filler door?
 
Corbin makes a good product I am on my fourth Corbin saddle (4 different bikes) the most recent is on a 2015 Honda ctx 700. As usual it takes about 1000 miles to break in, makes a completely different ride though I'm sure you already know that.
 
Funny thing is that the original seat fit me perfectly, though I admit to using my Triumph for my Iron Butts, so no experience with Long Island to Indy or that kind of thing. Max CGT saddle time for me about 5 hours (with a fuel stop).

I admit that part of the allure to the Corbin is that I like the looks of it.....but I am a pretty shallow pool.;)
 
That seat sure looks nice Jaime! I've had my GT since the end of August, and only used it for short runs until last week. I rode maybe 20 miles and couldn't wait to get off that darned seat. I couldn't believe how hard and uncomfortable it is. A Corbin is in my future, when the funds become available. I had one on my MP3, and had no complaints.
 
Well, we did over 200 miles today to run up to Ted's Restaurant in Meriden CT for cheeseburgers (hey, ANY excuse for a ride, right??). I think I started to squirm the same number of miles as I did with the stock seat. The big difference is the Corbin (even with the backrest) gives me a lot more options to change position. I noticed if I sit all the way back in the saddle I cannot reach the front boards with my legs fully outstretched. However, if I slide my butt forward and lean against the backrest it's VERY comfy (just hope I don't fall asleep in that position). I think this'll be the longest trip I'll be taking till next Spring, though. Just "commuting duty" in the foreseeable future.

Oh, the Corbin seat heater works just as well as the stock (I tested that, too). ;)
 
I just made the plunge and ordered a Corbin for my GT. I've had them on several bikes in the past and liked them. The original seat was okay but lately it's been a bit uncomfortable. Old body I guess, anyway I'm looking forward to the new black seat with red stitching on my scooter.
 
Finally got the new Corbin seat and got it on. I posted (don't know where) about getting the old seat off. I felt like an idiot after wrestling with that seat for an hour. The little thing I overlooked were the two tabs at the back edge of the metal seat hinge. I had all the screws out and was trying to push the seat forward off the bracket but the two tabs prevented the seat from moving forward and off the bracket. Once I had the bracket ends wedged up with a couple of screw drivers the seat slide off neat as one could please. Looks great on the bike and fits me well. I've got about one more inch of legroom now. The seat is a fraction of an inch higher than the OEM one was but I expect that will shrink a bit once the seat foam is broken in. Corbins are noted for being hard until they break in. Anyway after making an easy job difficult it's done and looks fine.

One unexpected benefit was by moving back an inch my body doesn't block the mirrors nearly as much.
