disappointed with BMW

I haven't had time to go through this entire thread but have you tried hounding their Twitter account? Ive found that most companies will try to do double time on this stuff when they are outed publicly. It may not work all the time but my experience has been positive in that arena.

I ran into a new fuel gauge issue. Topped off requiring less than 1 gallon. Gauge never changed and was at 1/2 level after 50 miles. Triggered the low fuel light at 102 miles. I rode to 140 miles. Required 2.7 gallons. On the positive side, the gauge showed full after that fill.

Thanks Ensignawesome for the twitter idea.

Otbiker, last fall on long ride, because of poor mpg, I guessed wrong about much gas remained. Had only 0.3 gallon left.

Been without my bike for 10 days now. I took it in for the 6k service and to have them look at the timing tensioner. Long story short. The service techs have heard the noises coming from the timing side and sent that to bmw. Bmw replied with sending in a regional tech to address the timing and the clutch. I made no mention of the clutch, but bmw wants to see mine anyway. It sure is taking some time, but I can say that I feel bmw in California is being proactive on the sensitive claims that have been mentioned on the forums. Or maybe I'm one of the few bikes brought in prior to any failures around these parts and motorrad is curious to take a look around.

Not yet, the Lammy is having a center fire billet head being made. Or I might use the watercooled head I have that would need some modifying. And the water injection is being worked out with the carb. I'm hoping for fall to have it back together.
