Dr. Pulley, any updates?

Just do it! I put Dr. Pulley sliders in a Silverwing 600, Majesty 400, and two Tmax 500s. Better off the line, midrange, passing and mileage went UP. Oh, and they essentially never wear out. What's not to love?

I agree, I put a set on one of the Silverwings I had and got much the same results. I'll be putting them on my GT when I hit 12,000 miles or get beyond the warranty next April. I used 26gm sliders on the SW, what's the opinion on the weight for the GT?

I am curious if anyone is having issues from using them. I know they always get great reviews. On that Aprilia Sportcity, there have been of reports of damage but preventable with an extra washer type of thing.

If you do the labor yourself it may be worth it. If you have to pay someone for labor then I would wait for the time to change the belt.
I replaced my belt last summer along with the rollers (with Dr. Pullies). I had 25,000km on my scooter, since then I have about 9,000km.
The job took me the better part of the day.
Tools needed
A 3/8 drive torque wrench
A 1/2 drive that reaches at least 100nm
The BMW special tool to hold the pulleys in place while you torque them to 100nm
The workshop manual (downloadable) purchase a little over $100
6 pack of beer
A variety of torque bits
The time consumption was removing all the plastic on the right side (I mean all) of the GT and then re installing it all back on maybe the sport is faster as you have less plastic

Am I mistaken? Do the rollers go until 12,000 miles? If so, I will definitely wait.

Yes a check/replace item for the 12,000 mile service.

If you are going to wait, might be worthwhile seeing if the 2016 CVT parts are retrofittable, however I have a feeling that sliders will deliver a similar experience (clutch aside).

My dealer, Gateway BMW in St Louis, told me if I put them in it would void my warranty. I'm waiting until that is up.

I have reinstalled the stock transmission but used the Dr Pulley rollers. So far after 2000kms, am still good. Before that, I had the Dr Pulley CVT. Spring just kept desintegrating on me. 3X. Got fed up with it and went back to stock. So far so good.

Thanks for the update. If I go this route, I will probably just use the sliders. That being said, I still have 6000 miles until they need to be replaced. I thought it was at 6000 like my Aprilia.
