Electronic oil-level check

All of the conditions for the electronic oil-level check to function on my 23 C400GT are met, however it only displays dashes instead of the oil level being okay or low. I'll have them fix it under warranty but I wonder if anyone else has had their EOLC function at all? Page 54 in the "Rider's Manual".

I've also tried it with the bike out of spec to see if it will work; nada.

Yep, I try it occasionally. Most of the time, I get the dashes, too, but sometimes it works.

I’ll reread that section, but I think some of the conditions — level comes to mind — are pretty persnickety.

On my C650, it takes a fair amount of time running, before the 'oil ok' (or not ) will appear, maybe the sensor needs to take the average of multiple measurements or something like that. Don't know if it's the same system for the 400.
