Gas cap modifications

The following pictures are the modification (done) and a picture of the invoice from the dealer with part numbers needed for the parts.

The third part number you see (called brace) is the tool used to remove and replace the drive belt. The prices you see are Canadian

A little late to the party but what does the modification do, make the flap pop all the way open?

Are these BMW parts?
My fuel cap got dislodged at the hinges, it came off but can be pushed back in, its a little dodgy now and came off easily
Dealer here gave me a quote to replace them


· #1 - Covering fuel tank. = 250.00 QR
· #3 - FILL-IN FLAP = 110.00 QR
· #7 – Axle = 15.00 QR
· #8 – Single spring for fill in cap = 45.00 QR
Labour : 360

Total is 1140 Q.R. Equiv to 313 usd

Yes so you do not break the cap off when you open the seat

The picture you attached looks different than my gas cover but depending on the year of your scooter maybe it is correct
