GIVI and Isotta Windscreens for C600

I purchased the Tall windshield from Givi, along with the clear plastic winglets.
Installing them were a breeze, and the wind deflection's greatly increased. I'm not that tall (1.75m) but the stock windshield just wasnt deflecting enough for my liking even at its highest setting.

So anyway, the Givi windshield is real solid, heavy... and I found out that the flimsy plastic adjustable 'arms' that support the windshield just aren't strong enough.
As soon as I hit 120km/h, the wind (and weight of the windshield) start forcing the arms inward....
After about 5-9mins of riding at about 120km/h, I had the feeling that my windshield was shrinking or something... I pulled over, and saw that the shield's securing points (i put them at the highest) had been forced down to the mid setting...
I put it back up to highest, did another 10 mins of high speed... again the securing knobs get forced back down to mid setting...

Now i need to think of a way to make the arms more secure.
Anyone got any ideas?

I found the nylon spacers on the c600 sport aren't thick enough. I added some metal washers to test this theory and is doesn't drop anymore. I typically run 80-90mph on the highway and the stock shield did the same thing until my fix.

You got pictures of what these spacers are exactly? Thanks mate
 
I didn't see anything specific for the C600 on givi's website? Can you post links?

The stock windshield flexes quite a bit at speed so that is probably why Givi went with a heavier and I assume less flexible windshield. Do you get much flex of the screen at speed? Is it wider than the stock unit as well?

yes the Givi tall shield is much heavier and more solid... but it still does flex a little from 155km/h onwards.
not very much wider than the stock. just a lot taller. my C600 looks a lot bigger, when parked beside a stock-windshield R1200GS. :p

Will post some pics next week when i get home.
