GPR Exhaust for Sale

I bought a 2013 C 650 GT last week. It's my third GT and this one came with a GPR exhaust on the bike (and the original muffler in a bag).

I'm more prone to ear plugs and wishing my bike was electric, but I know there is someone who will love this. 2016+ GT's have a great BMW growl, but 2012 - 2015's are more muted. This GPR delivers 2016+ sound and more. It's a head turner on the street -- that's happened several times.

Looks like they run around $400 new. I'll take $130 + shipping. Since shipping cost is based more on size than weight, I'm thinking the cost will be reasonable. It's not a huge piece.

I can send more pics if you like, or even shoot you a video of how it sounds. The muffler is in super good shape, no dents, no dings, no rust. I have PayPal or will take a check.

Hi -
I'm interested, but have a few questions.
Will it fit on a 2015 C650 GT & comes with all the hardware to link to catalytic ?
Is it louder than the more common Akrapovic exhaust ? Possible to post video with sound ?

I am picking up the original exhaust today at the dealership, so I will know more tonight when I put it back on the bike. The GPR sure looks like it plugs right into existing brackets and bolts on the bike (it's called a "Slip On" exhaust). I believe the hardware is the same for all years.

If for some reason it doesn't fit, I will return the money and the buyer is only out for the postage, which I have no power to return. I've bought and sold on this site and the Burgman 650 and Honda Silver Wing sites for years and am a 100% straight shooter.

Glad to provide a video. Posting one on my worksite with a link is possible but a little PITA. If you PM your cell #, I'll send a text video (I'll include a shot of all the girls running toward the bike when they hear it ;o). Since I am putting the OEM exhaust back on the bike tonight, I will make little before-and-after vids for comparison.

I now have videos I can send via text. Ten seconds of the GPR and ten of the OEM exhaust. There's a noticeable difference, although both sound louder because I have all the plastic off the bike for maintenance.

What I noticed is they both sound similar at idle. The GPR is noticeably throatier with acceleration. In other words, it sounds cooler and you get noticed leaving the scene of your latest crime. Or a stop light.

Installation is super easy. It's all existing hardware on the bike. To remove the OEM exhaust, loosen (don't remove) three T30 hex bolts; two are on the plastic shield on the side and one is under the plastic shield on top. When the plastic shield is nice and loose, remove the T45 hex bolt that holds the pipe clamp in place, then remove the other T45 hex bolt above the exhaust. That's it.

To install the GPR, use the two T45 hex bolts (the T30's stay with the OEM exhaust); one tightens the pipe clamp and one holds up the muffler (see photo).

I cleaned up the GPR with 0000 steel wool and metal polish. Looks good. I actually like the unit. It makes the bike sound exactly like a motorcycle when accelerating.

You got any more naked bike pics you can show? I have yet to pull too many of the panels off yet, so its nice to see what this thing really looks like. I will say that bike looks very clean, almost new.
