How do I subscribe to a thread?

I can't find the box to check if I want an instant email response to a thread I might like to follow.
Is there a trick?

If you haven't figured it out yet, right above post #1 there is a "tool bar". One of them says 'thread tools' and has a drop down arrow. Click there and one of the options is to subscribe.

Even I did not know this and I have been on this forum since the beginning.

I get enough E-Mail as it is. I prefer coming here and just seeing what threads have been updated since the last time I was here and read those. That's good enough for me.
