Hi everyone! I’m new to the forum but have been riding scooters for about 10 years. I have a 2007 Vespa 250 GTS and will trade in my 2009 Piaggio BV 500 (with 17,000 miles) tody for a balck storm metallic 2018 C650GT. I’m looking forward to the new ride and to the insight and ideas on this forum!

In June I purchased black 2016 GT with 210 miles (had it shipped from CT). By now it has 1.9K miles: rigorius testing :)

I had numerous bikes, predominantly beemers (Montauk, K1200GT, R1200RT, F700, but also Honda Helix and Silverwing, Suzuki Burgman, Vespas, etc.) hence I consider myself semi-experienced rider, and I have been riding for many, many years.

Since 90%+ times these times, I ride with the wifey, the passenger’s comfort is a worthy consideration. She was growing uncomfortable on the back seat of Monty to the degree that we had to stop every 40-50 miles... Decided to try C650GT.

She loves it! We put 100-120 miles w/o any problems, whatsoever.
The bike is peppy, agile, fast and comfy, for both of us. Initially, I felt crumped due to driver back rest, but by now I got used to it, and, as a matter of fact, I have grown to like the sitting position on C. Electric winshield is a marvel (I rode couple of weeks in low position: defective swith that was repaired under warranty). You might consider a different winsdshield, or to get a Laminar Lip gismo.

Mind you, this is not a lightweight bike (500+ lb) nor is it for a novice rider: I think that you will enjoy it immensly.
In short, I will not go back to a motorcycle. If anything, perhaps BMW will come up with a new model in couple of years, if such occures, I will certainly get a newer mo

The Piaggio BV...one of the great mid-size PTWers. No doubt it was tough to give up, but my guess is that you'll find the Beemer C to be a great addition to your garage. Classic Vespa and new age BMW. You are one lucky individual.
