New Member-New Ownwer of new/used 2014 C650GT

Hello everyone...I am the new owner of a used C650GT. Cool little toy. My knees took me off a bigger bike.
I just rode it home from Atlanta, to Raleigh NC. 380 miles..My BUTT is soar!!
So, couple off concerns...The motor make alot of racket,. sounds good, then sounds like a vibration of metal to metal like a heat shield.
Is it typically this noisy??
Where in the forum should I find out typical problems to know about??

Paul, I was just in your neck of the woods doing some bike shopping (currently looking for a sidecar rig). The BMW C engines can be kinda noisy, but "metal to metal like a heat shield" does not sound familiar to me. The search engine is pretty good, so you might start there.

On the other hand, lots of knowledgeable folks here. Someone will likely provide some insight.
