Side stand no longer breaking

Happened on my 2016 C650 Sport a couple of months back. The side stand has an inbuilt feature to lock the wheels. It's a nice feature and I'd like to get it fixed, not sure how expensive it will be. Is this common? Any known weaknesses or solutions?

Hi, I also have a 2016 C650 Sport. Had this very issue a few months ago. this is a very easy fix. The side stand parking brake assembly uses a second caliper on the bottom of the rear rotor. Where the pull cable attaches to the rear caliper the is a set screw with a nut. Just loosen the nut tighten the set screw and lock the nut. It’s really simple once you get on the ground and just look at the connection. It will be obvious once you look at the connection to the lower rear caliper on how it is adjusted.
