This forum saved my C650GT !!!!

Did my first oil change and it wasn't pretty. My oil drain pan was too tall so trying to get the bolts loose and getting the pan back under the BMW was a challenge that I didn't meet.
BUT the big drama was the 5" long x 3/8" diameter secondary filter! If it hadn't been for this forum I would have dropped the filter into the pan. Next time I'll use my 1/4" extra long socket extension to slide into the filter while I get the filter to seat in the back.

Yeah, well, you're welcome from those of us that are super mechanically inclined. It's a burden, but someone's gotta be that guy.

(Anyone who has been on this forum for any length of time knows I am joking about my mechanical ability. But there are some folks here that really know there way around these bikes and are kind enough to share their knowledge. Thanks from me, too!!)

Did you replace the forward strainer with the pick up tube?
