Thought about removing the center stand for more ground clearance.

My 650 Sport could use some more ground clearance. But then again if I had more ground clearance i'd be riding the thing through turns like a sport-bike. Anyone else wish that there was more ground clearance?

I replaced the two sacrificial bolts on my center stand last year. I ended up just keeping the shock set at its highest setting which helps keep the grinding down. It really is impressive how this scooter can corner, a couple of my friends with motorcycles were very surprised.

I scraped mine on a bend that happened to have a dip slap bang on the apex. The rear end bottomed out and down touched the center stand. Shi£ the life out of me!

The center stand is very useful. Try changing a tire without it or adjusting the parking brake. The bike takes up more room in the garage on the side stand. You can warm up the engine if necessary on the center stand as well.

I scraped twice today on right hand turns on the blue ridge parkway loaded with my wife and gear. If she wasnt on I’m sure I would’ve scraped a lot more. It’s too bad I’ll have to slow more before turns. We are leaving on a 4 to six week tour around the country Saturday and I cant wait. I’m getting new tires Thursday and hope they will last the whole time.
