On a trip to the Texas Gulf Coast last weekend, I noticed a very pronounced leak under the scoot at the first stop. When I checked the coolant level the tank appeared completely empty and the site gage, well, who can tell from that? I had not had any such leaks previously in my garage. I replaced the coolant (still couldn’t read the site gauge) and did not notice any more leaks so I decided to head home cautiously. After a few miles the overheat warning light came on so I stopped on the side of the road. One of our local scooter touring club members got his pickup and trailer and took me and the scoot home. Turns out the water pump had failed so the dealer is replacing it under warranty. Has anyone else had problems with coolant leaks and/or overheating?
