Wind effect on pillion

My pillion complains that she is quite violently slapped and shaken by the wind whilst traveling at speeds of 70/80Km/hr on the GT. It's not wind buffeting as this happens also on calm days. This was also not the case on my previous scooter.

Raising the windshield to it's max does not change this at all. Has anyone else had this problem and possibly a solution to it.

We had the same experience with the stock windshield on the GT.

I bought the Calsci large:

It works as I had hoped. For the rider, I can get some air or get complete silence.

Fully raised the pillion passenger gets a little shoulder buffeting and helmet wind - however it is just that - a little. I've considered getting a large aeroflow but I haven't heard if it eliminates all turbulence for the passenger.

Thanks for the feedback. I have read a lot of good reports about the areoflow in this forum but nothing that mentions the comfort of the passenger. For myself I find the stock suitable (probably because I don't know the difference) but keeping my girlfriend comfortable on longer trips is very important to me.

I am hoping that someone who has an areoflow fitted jumps in here with a comment about increased pillion comfort.

I am wondering if the wind deflectors will effect the airflow sufficiently to assist with this problem.

I have to amend my answer. Riding today I asked my pillion rider and the answer was with the Cal Sci medium size all the way up there was zero head buffeting and it was quiet. A little arm wind. Basically same as me in the front.
 
Aeroflow screen on for a week on the GT. Currently on holiday with the scoot so a great opportunity to test it. Passenger reports that the screen has had a positive effect and vastly reduced the wind on her face/helmet even when the screen is fully down, we are now able to increase our speed some without causing her discomfort.

As for me I was fine with the stock screen which I must admit had a much clearer vision when fully raised. Due to the flaring of the screen I must sit straighter/higher to get clear vision above the flare. This will no doubt vary from rider to rider depending on your size. My screen is the small version of areoflow.
