Hi everyone-

Late to the conversation and new to this forum. I have a 2012 Yamaha Majesty 400 and really like it. I bought it in December 2012. Its my first 2 wheel form of transportation and although I was looking at the BMW c600 and c650, I didn't want to spend that much money when I didn't know if I was going to love riding so I went with the Yamaha. 2 Years later, I m back on the 650GT. So are there are other Majesty to BMW owners out there? Any advice?
I test rode the 650gt and my only concern was that Im 5'8" and that bike was a lot heavier and seemed taller than my Majesty. I seemed to got a hang of it quickly and Im not loner concerned. Now I have to just work a deal with the dealer. The first offer was a DEMO...too many scratches, etc for me....so I think Im going new. They talked about giving me the $400 rebate and they would match it so Im about 10.3k. I know they have to make a profit but I don't want to be ripped off. Is that a fair price?

Thanks for your help. Im really looking forward to getting this bike

I bought my new 2013 c600 for $9k not including taxes/title in October of 2013. There was the $1000 rebate and the dealer had it for $400 or $500 under list with the highline package if I recall correctly.

The bike carries it's weight very well. There is a low seat option that may help but you lose the heated seat.

Still no paperwork; got an email from the dealer. Typo in the address. Hopefully I'll get it by Friday this week (The paperwork that is).

Well I ordered a 2014 Black BMW C 650 GT. Excited to get it...the dealer convinced me to get one still in the crate so I wouldn't get one that someone has been sitting one or one that has been sitting on the floor for six months of gas in it....
Im hoping to get it as early as next Wednesday or latest next Friday...

Now I just have to decide on accessories :)

I ordered mine in the crate too! I'm very happy with it other than the life of the tires!

Ah cool...how did you get the picture of your bike on the crate? Im assuming that's yours...

Also how much did the tires cost you and how long did they last?

I just asked my dealer to take some pictures of it during the uncrateing and setup, the tires have almost 5000 miles on them now but they need new ones, I haven't gotten any new ones yet.

I'm about to replace my original equipment Metzeler FeelFree's at 6500 miles with the same tire model. I ride fairly conservatively and the tires, at least visually, look like they have more miles on them. But it's approaching the end of the riding season, so I'll have the tires done with the now, slightly overdue 6K service over the winter when the bike is laid up anyway. Besides reliable brakes and tires, what's most important to me for safety? (that's a rhetorical question - I know that there are many other things, but those two items are the first two on my list). So the tires will get changed out.

I'm thinking of ordering a set of WinTecs for the coming months. I didn't do it last year, but I just might this year. Then put the existing tires back on in the Spring. We'll see.

Just to remind you about last year....

Let's see a 4Runner, Prius, or C650GT? Well, clearing a 12" wide path down the drive to get to plowed roads = BMW C650GT.

Paperwork received today, all looks well. Now it's just a matter of getting them back to the dealer and confirming a shipping date. I also asked for a list of what recalls have been performed. Three that I know of:
The timing chain tensioner, the side stand, and the panels right?

Don't forget to ask your dealer to take some pics of your new bike during the uncrateing

Well, so much for THAT idea. Can't find anyone who sells these in the appropriate size this year for some reason...

They stopped making the tire over a year ago from what I recall that was discussed a long time ago in another thread
