Paint job suggestion

Does anyone know for sure that the painted plastic panels on the GT are ABS? Honda uses a lot of ABS and in my old shop where I refurbished old Goldwings for resale I repaired a lot of damaged plastic parts with ABS cement. It's that gooey black stuff in the can that has a dauber in the lid found at Lowe's or other hardware stores. It works great because it's basically ABS plastic dissolved in solvent. You end up with a chemical weld instead of relying on a surface bond as glue does. Best of all the stuff is cheap less than $5 most places. You can even make ABS putty by getting a couple pieces of that black plastic ABS pipe unions or elbows and use a sander to get a big pile of ABS dust to mix with the cement. Works very good to build up a damaged area, far better than Bondo or one of those. Just be sure to use it in thin layers as a real thick pile of the stuff can soften the panel beneath the joint.
