Yep, I like the Wunderlich windshield that I had the dealership order and install before I took delivery of my '22 C 400 GT (and then transfer to my replacement '23). If I had known how simple it is to swap windshield on this bike -- four in-your-face T25 screws -- I would've done this myself (and have done so myself, a dozen or so times, since). OTOH, I don't think they charged me much, or maybe anything, beyond the price of the windshield. Here's a recent pic, with the Shad 59X out back, too:Hey @wspollack I noticed in one of your videos, I think it was the photo booster video where you had the windshield with the AC window in it. Do you like this? Does it work well or is it just gimmicky? Also curious at where the wind hits you and how tall you are? And any other basic information about that screen that you might have. Thanks!!

As I note in my gallery (https://billanddot.com/C400GT/#S-6), I have Wunderlich's the Marathon Clear With Vent:
The reason I bought the C 400 GT was because my wife was extremely pleased with the passenger ergonomics of the C 400 X that we had toured in Europe on for two weeks.
The reason I got the Marathon is because one minor complaint was that she encountered a little buffeting back there. So I wanted to try something else, and it turned out that that did the trick out back.
The reason that I got it with the vent was because I had a Burgman 650 on which I put the shortest version of a Clearview windshield (https://www.clearviewshields.com/mo...xecutive-windshields-through-model-year-2012/ ), with vent, and liked that (and, for just awhile, a Laminar Lip, which I later removed):

And then later on, after a bagger in between, I got another Burgman 650, and paid for another Clearview, i.e., the same windshield with vent for a second time:

Just for completeness, on that in-between bagger I replaced the stocker with a Madstad windshield (https://madstad.com/collections/cross-country ). It didn't have a vent, but that huge gaping maw underneath accomplished a similar purpose ... and then some. It was my favorite windshield, even in the rain:

So, obviously, I'm a "look-over," not a "look-through," rider. I'm about 5'8", with about a 29" inseam. I think I'm sort of normal proportioned (except around the waist), e.g., my torso and legs are pretty normal, in proportion to each other.
The vent (or underneath the Madstad) accomplishes two things:
- It reduces back-pressure, the kind of effect that you get when the overall airflow might kind of wrap-around and push you toward the windshield.
- It allows for some additional airflow to cool you off on very hot days.
It's not the greatest thing since sliced bread, not overly dramatic. But it's no gimmick, either, or I wouldn't have sprung for a second Clearview, or the extra cost on the Marathon.
Of course, if it's cold or raining, you might just say the heck with all this, and close the vent. I do.
Back to the C 400 GT ...
The Marathon is pretty much the same height as the stocker -- see https://billanddot.com/C400GT/#S-7 -- but is wider all over, has more protection at the bottom, and has a less-dramatic (but wider) flip-up curve at the top, compared to the stocker. The airflow just makes it over the top of my full helmet (and apparently continues that upward trajectory over the passenger).
But this is the only aftermarket windshield I've checked out (because, as I say, I and my wife are satisfied). OTOH, @mzflorida has tried more of them. What you want to do is read a couple of threads on this, viz.:
- Oct. 2023: https://www.bmw-scooters.com/threads/windscreens-for-taller-riders.2918/
- April 2024: https://www.bmw-scooters.com/threads/wunderlich-windshield-for-c400gt.3088/
And then you'll be up to speed. Well, maybe after you pick @mzflorida 's brain, if you want more info.
That covers your question, right?
