2400 miles: Louisiana to New Mexico and Colorado

Greetings to all! I just returned from a road trip through Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. Temperatures from 29 to 111. Elevation from near sea level to 14,000 feet. We rode through sun, rain, hail and sleet. All in all the bike ran great! I averaged 54 mpg for 2400 miles and I had a lot of...

    What a great bike

It's been only 6 weeks but my 2016 C650GT is one of the best bikes I have ever ridden or owned. I am glad the windshield keeps the bugs out of my teeth since I can't help but grin all the time. Thank you BMW for making this great ride. The weather here in Dixie has been great lately and I'm...

    Rally for us.

I'm a new member here and enjoying the heck out of this jewel of a scooter. Looking at the member map it appears we are widely spaced out in distance. It would be nice to have a central US rally or get together for all of us in this forum. I would be honored to help organize or plan a get...

    Wunderlich or Kaoko ?

Anyone have opinion and/or experience with these on the GT with heated grips? This will be my second accessory purchase after the excellent handlebar bag by Kathy's designs. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    409 mile day

A great ride through Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. From high speed interstates, curving two laners thru the piney hills of East Texas, and some graded dirt roads around a couple of lakes. The GT ran great and was smooth and comfortable. Temps were from low 70's to a breezy 31. I have never had...

    Pictures tomorrow

Finally! My local dealer happened to get a 2016 C650GT with premium package and it is black. We worked a deal and bike is mine! It was still in a huge crate and they started assembly when I left and will pick it up tomorrow. I've been trying to get a GT in previous years as there are a fair...

    Can't wait to ride

Update on new scoot. Still no repair parts for 2015gt on floor. However they made me a great deal on 2016 coming from New Jersey next week. Apparently the 2016's have had the brake hose mod completed. After seeing the slight updates for the 2016 I think it will work out great. Pretty excited here!

    Wearing my patience pants

Well, the deal was made, bikes about to switch hands but the recall is the roadblock. Update today was the parts and repairs on 2015 GT will hopefully be done by end of month. Mulling it all over. This was a massive riding change for me and getting the feeling I should move on to a normal bike...

    Stop sale

Well....after renting a trailer (for my trade) and getting everything ready to travel 4 hrs away to get 2015 GT salesman calls to tell me whoops....cannot sell to me because of recall on brake hose. Not a very happy camper here.

    Deposit down!

Ok. I'm officially excited. After scouring internet I found a 2015 C650GT from a dealer who will take my used bike trade and fair prices. Uhaul motorcycle trailer rented and hope to be rolling on new scooter by end of weekend. I test drove several and the GT definitely had better windshield...

Does the 2014 C650 have an ambient air temperature readout on the dash?

    Howdy from Louisiana

I'm possibly losing my mind. I plan to trade in a 2013 Sportster and 2007 Vstar1300 Tourer to get a C650 Scooter. I have had many motorcycles and a couple of small scooters. I plan to use this new ride for long distance touring to the dismay of my riding friends. But it seems very comfortable...
