There is a story behind this, to be told later. I don't actually have it at home yet.

Thanks. Delivery maybe this weekend. BTW, I will probably post more about the bike here: My New BMW C600 - ADVrider since there will be more questions and curiosity. Everyone here already knows how awesome the bike is, even more awesome than the GT.:p That being said, I will of course be around here; I lurked hear for a long time before posting.

Shipping truck broke down; earliest possible pick up is Tuesday next week. Man, talk about a long drawn out process. I started looking in early September to buy a new bike (or used). After 2 attempts to buy used c600's were too late; We agreed on this bike on Tuesday, October 28th. The original sales paperwork got lost, so a second set was mailed a week later. Now this delay. I hope it arrives before Thanksgiving. I am a teacher, and our schedule has us off for the week and I could really get some seat time in. Oh well, I've still got the Ape to ride. The good news is that my givi rack will be hear early next week and so will the ram mount.

I pair the phone with my BMW Navigator IV (Zumo 660), and pair the Nolan NCOM headset to the GPS as well. The phone stays in the left glove-box plugged into a USB charger, out of sight and out of mind. The Garmin works far better with gloved hands (and I ALWAYS wear gloves when riding) than the phone's touchscreen anyway.

Well the phone mount wound up being for one reason - Siri and specific phone commands I could not otherwise get to work. With Sena 20 I tried and failed at combinations of connection sequencing and eventually felt stuck with this: Either my BMW Garmin V fully operated which stopped Siri commands, - or - the iPhone and Siri operated fully, which meant the Garmin lost functionality like music and *usually* spoken directions. I contacted Sena and they were almost helpful. I also have a 1.5 hour commute often so other iphone functionality helps by viewing it and being able to control it with Siri. But it is sort of lame.

I've got the iPhone 5c and a SENA 20. I just use the Google navigation in the phone with SIRI and it's easy...and works better than my old GARMIN...

I just keep the phone either plugged-into the 12v socket or in my pocket.

(I've heard that "Ram Mounts" are better suited to lonely nights in the Scottish countryside...)
